Nvidia busy killing off RTX 2000 series with that 30fps there. I mean seriously..based off that we're gonna need a 2080ti for 1440p in Control with RTX on, ridiculous.

It makes you wonder...what is the point of having all these rt cores on cards like the 2060 and 2060 Super when they can barely run the game with RT on? This is yet more reasons to just skip ray tracing for this generation and get Navi instead.

True, though, I got my just because I got the founders edition and it fits my build in terms of style.

I wonder how much RTX ON will kill my 1660 in that game ?

When a non RTX cards only gets around  5-6FPS less than a RTX on RT on. Green team played themselves.

Wanna know what pisses me off? this game is almost a DXR tech demo, we've seen far superior Rasterization techniques then the ones implemented on this game... it's like they purposely downgraded the graphics without Ray Tracing to try boosting it.

Like what?

If I were to look at the example used in this thread, the reflection on the ground in the rastered image has to be cube mapped. Granted, they could be using a subpar cubemap, but at the end of the day, it cannot achieve the same reflection as in the ray traced version. It can't reflect something that wasn't rendered in the first place.

I mean, I've seen screen space reflections fail so many times that it bothers the snot out of me.

The beginning of the game doesn't really show off the worst parts it (which those pictures are from, literally the first 30 seconds).  RT Defuse hurts FPS at least 20-30% while making surfaces look horrendous

really hard to convey with only a picture, it looks worse in motion.  Its like a hazy film grain but made from shadow it flutters around, phases in and out.

That sounds like the denoiser having issues.

I confirm, shadows can get very noisy while in motion.

I don't know if is just me. But, I can not tell the difference between 1080p and 1440p on my own monitor. Like I can for other games.
Also, Nvidia DLSS will set my resolution to 720P. Big yikes.

Just checked it out myself,i can barely see the difference but i see a difference...

Control STUTTERING fixed completely (for me and most others) via Win10 WCFG exploit issue.

Smooth as silk now after applying.

Night and Day!

Maximums - Asus Z97-K /w i5 4690 Bclk @106.9Mhz * x39 = 4.17Ghz, 8GB of 2600Mhz DDR3,.. Gigabyte GTX970 G1-Gaming @ 1550Mhz
