Minecraft server help!

I've got a spare NUC laying around, and I've been wondering if it would provide enough power for up to 10 players.

 

I've already tested it with just myself, it seemed a bit laggy at times, is this a sign that I'm short on CPU power, or am I missing something

 

Specs:

N2830

8gb ram

HDD

Minecraft 1.14.4 no mods

System specs:

4790k

GTX 1050

16GB DDR3

Samsung evo SSD

a few HDD's

Take a look at CPU usage?

It's probably not powerful enough.

Also look at Ram usage. That’s a big thing especially if you run mods. 

I just want to sit back and watch the world burn.

These are the suggested specs per the Minecraft wiki, you do seem to be stretched thin for CPU power for the player count you're asking about.

Thanks for this, I didn't realize there was a separate section for server requirements.

 

Seems mine will only do to about 4-5 people. I was really hoping for a low power solution. Time to dust off that old i5 optiplex
