Is this ips glow or blb

New acer x27,  but took photo. I can’t tell by which angle I’m from one sight seems brighter than the other which makes me think it’s IPS glow. Which I can live with as this monitor has zero dead or stuck pixels how does it look ?

 

images are straight on and below straight on and hardcore to the left 

 

the last is meant for the strong angle...

I don’t know how to turn on fald or off so whatever is standard

Its likely on then.

 

In which case if the image ur displaying is pure black the local dimming will be turning off the backlights on those images, so ur not seeing the actual uniformity of the display.

 

U need to disable local dimming and do this again, or alternatively display an of black image with some small white spots on it to get some of the backlights turned on. In normal use ur unlikely going to ever have a scene so dark that the entire FALD array is off.

 

if u look at rtings test ull see with FALD off the display has pritty bad clouding, and thats what ur more likely going to be dealing with, with normal use.

5% grey or 10% grey show no clouding

Looks like every review sight has poor uniformsity without FALD enabled. So it’s nice I hve FALd
