If you wanted to go more in depth, you could save some money by going with a keyboard with Gaterons as they are considered the same if not better than Cherry at a much more discounted price.

If you would like to go EVEN MORE IN DEPTH, I would recommend building your own keyboard which can be done pretty cost effectively. Warning! Building keyboards is like a drug, its addictive as hell and will drive you bankrupt if you're not careful.

idk tbh

With both of their keyboards being nearly identical apart from cosmetic changes and obviously the switches, it's whichever design and switches you prefer.

Note that Cherry MX Blacks are a bit heavier than the Cherry MX Reds.

Ain't that the truth. I'm already down $200+ just from a single 60% keyboard with NovelKeys Creams and a couple dozen spare switches such as Kailh Box Jades.

That is the biggest oof, I have only started building them recently but I am already hooked. Next one is on the way.

What are the Creams like? I was going to buy them.

idk tbh

I looked at the same keyboards before the k68 was around £100 ($120) and the strafe was £120 ($145) and now they are both £79 so i will still save some money

If the choice is that hard, i would recomend going to a store to physically touch and play with them. That might give one of them the upper hand.

Wow, I didn't expect them to be so expensive.

You could probably go with a Ducky OR build your own.

I just quickly whipped together an $85USD keyboard just on KBDfans, it does require soldering but you could upgrade to a hotswap board for another $5/$10 more.

I love them so much, they are a super smooth linear switch due to their POM material which is 'self-lubricating', and I can vouch for that as they feel extremely buttery.

While they're expensive, the Creams are easily my favorite switch.

As they're both the same price, just choose the switch you like; Cherry MX Blacks are heavier than the Cherry MX Reds.

i mean iam only saving like £5 and I've already built a keyboard with blue switches i liked the blue switches at first but they got annoying for me after 1.5 years.

Yeah, no sane person likes blue switches. The only scenario I would use Blues with would be O rings.

The reason I would recommend building another keyboard is...

In general it is cheaper

More customisable

More satisfaction when it is finished

I wouldn't really use blues, there are plenty of switch testers out there for you to find your ideal switch.

idk tbh

Oh heck, I forgot. I was originally going to build keyboard myself and I didn't add caps bc I already had some. If  OP is reading this, just get a cheap pair on Banggood or Amazon, or you could get a high quality set of blanks for a bit more.

idk tbh
