I also noticed that the ram doesn't snap into place.

Try turning it the other way around.  It will only go in one way.

Are you using enough pressure?  When they are new the sockets can be VERY tight.

Router:  Intel N100 (pfSense) WiFi6: Zyxel NWA210AX (1.7Gbit peak at 160Mhz)
WiFi5: Ubiquiti NanoHD OpenWRT (~500Mbit at 80Mhz) Switches: Netgear MS510TXUP, MS510TXPP, GS110EMX
ISPs: Zen Full Fibre 900 (~930Mbit down, 115Mbit up) + Three 5G (~800Mbit down, 115Mbit up)
Upgrading Laptop/Desktop CNVIo WiFi 5 cards to PCIe WiFi6e/7

The blinking light is probably the DRAM error because the RAM isn't seated.

Your sure it's DDR4?

Your putting it in the white slots?

Pushing at teh top and bottom till the latches close?

Sure you opened the latch on at least one end of the slot for ram? And then push it in and it’ll ‘snap’ back

That pic is too far away.  I see the light and the ram is in the white slots now, but you cant see it close enough.

OK,  So to test, what I would do is pull out the stick on the right and just leave the first white slot on the left side populated and see if there is a change when you try and boot.

If yes and it boots, power down and then swap the sticks and try again.

Still boots?  Then you have a problem with the other white ram slot.
