What type of games do you play? For me I would rather have the higher hz because it's much more noticeable for me but I like to play alot of fps games. If you are just playing slow paced games where you care mostly about visuals then the 1440p might be a better option.

It depends on what you play and such but in reality 1440p144hz monitors aren't really all that more expensive nowadays:

I would go with 144Hz 1080p because I can't use 60Hz displays after playing on high refresh monitor.

That one even has HDR and 1800r curve. Definitely go with that one
