CAD Mouse

TVwazhere

Been using a Logitech M510 for over four years now, and the middle click wheel has died (just the click not the wheel) which I actually utilize a lot, with as much or more than my right click due to it's uses both inside and outside CAD software. I've looked at the 3Dconnexion mouse, but that seems to have longevity issues. So I might go with something like a Logitech MX Master, but I want to hear what other people are using.

Also looking into the 3Dconnexion spacenavigator, anyone have any experience with that?

I was just at a friend of mine's office this morning. All his draftsman have the MX Master 2S with the exception of 2 that have the trackball one. I text him to ask if they had tried the 3Dconnexion and he just replied with the ?️ emoji, lol.

I'd get an MX Master. If you like a lot of buttons on your mouse you could also look at a wireless G403/G502.

Quote me to see my reply!

Looking at reviews of the 3dConnexion CADmouse, I'm seeing similar comments. I'm hoping the Spacemouse Compact (which is the 3D moving joystick) is a lot better.

I actually have a G502 at home and I love it. I'm just looking for something a bit more workspaced focused (no to say I cant utilize the G502 for this, but there's a few options on the Master and Master 2S i like)

I actually bought myself a MX518 Legendary for work, lol. I'm one of like 5 people in the office who brought their own mice.

I hate using the 3Dconnect mouse thingy.

I prefer the Logitech M705, it's very comfortable to use during long periods of modelling.

I've been using a G700s since 2013ish and i've been having pinky finger pain. Think it's time to replace it.
