Value Graphics Cards

I currently have a GTX 960 and looking to upgrade. What are some suggestions for good value cards? Doesn’t have to be cheap, but outperforms it’s price.

Rx 570 is as allways a good choice. 

 

If you are looking for more performance its harder to get amazing value, but there is certainly good value.

Sweetspot is probably either 2070S or 5700XT right now.

If you have a decent PSU then the Vega cards are hard to beat for value right now.

What's the resolution and refresh rate you're using? Is this for AAA titles, or less demanding games?

You don't need a decent PSU. I'm running Seasonic S12ii 520w with a Vega 64, it would consume around 200-250w max when undervolted.

I never said a high wattage PSU i said decent, as in a strong 12v rail. My Vega 56 undervolted and overclocked pushes 270-280w.

Yeah maybe if it's paired with a crappy PSU and an overclocked CPU.

My vega 64 doesn't consume more than 70w in games, but that's because of power saving bios and power saving plan in wattman. Can't really use more than 1080p 75hz so it's basically idling lol.

Same here, my main game anyway (iracing) only uses 1 cpu core for rendering so my 1600x effectively bottlenecks the Vega.

 

In iracing I cap my fps to 100 and the Vega is just ticking over, pulling 75w while the temp stays in the 30s.

 

Different story in most other games i play though.

Usually it is best to throw a price in these for the value. I think a good used gtx 1070 for around $200 is about the best performance per $ you will find but if your budget is $150 that doesn't really help

Get vega 56 it even beats 1080
