Budget is $1000 USD. (i know its over budget) I plan to use it for heavy gaming, light workloads and maybe medium to heavy photoshop. I already have peripherals, but I would like a recommendation for a good 1440p monitor and speakers. I *might* already have a case, cooler power supply, and graphics card. I would also like to know about upgrade paths, and I have seen similar builds for less, so I would like to know how to bring costs down. (the graphics, storage, mobo, and cooler can be changed, although I like Nvidia and the cooler has to be under 47mm)

I would have recommended something similar.

Perhaps a cheaper PSU, 650 Watt is overkill for this system, even 550 Watt would be more than enough. With the money you save on the PSU you could get some nice 3600Mhz CL 17 ram:

I wouldn't spend extra $30 for a 3600mhz cl17 kit. 3200mhz cl16 will do just fine.

Also, formula gold is comparitively a way better PSU. The 650w model was cheaper. So went with that one.

Also, Load regulation is very loose on bq models, ripple suppression on the minor rails is mediocre, and the 3.3V rail's transient response is weak. To make matters worse, the efficiency levels are quite low, the inrush current under both voltage inputs (115V and 230V) is high, and the cooling fan is loud, even though it uses a reliable bearing. In order to keep the Teapo SC capacitors on the secondary side cool (along with the SBRs responsible for rectifying the +12V rail), HEC went with an aggressive fan profile that sets the minimum rotational speed at 1120 RPM! So, if you hate noisy PSUs, stay away from this one. I would.

Because the price increase doesn't justify the extra performance gained. Also, 3200mhz ram can be OC anyways.

On a $1050 computer, $30 is 2.8 percent. Yet you could have up to 5% performance increase over 3200Mhz in some applications and games. So it is money well spent.

You can OC 3200 Mhz CL16 ram probably tighten the timings a bit, but not to 3600 Mhz CL 17 speeds. Just not going to happen. That is why they charge more for the faster RAM, they are just better chips.

Frequency of the infinity fabric can be tweaked to outperform your so called "3600mhz cl17" memory.

They did it with a 2133mhz kit.

Using a different case and power supply, and downgrading the ram to 3200 (oc?) Would this be a good mini itx build?
