Strict nat type

Hey.

I called my isp and got a public ip which they said should fix my issue. This didn't help and i therefore contacted them again. They said the issue lies with the "smart wifi" which is 2 boxes connected to eachother over wifi which we then have a switch hooked up to with 3 pc's plugged into the switch. The isp told me there is no way to give the "smart wifi" a static or public ip and the only fix is to run a cable a floor down to the main router and completely skip the "smart wifi".

Just wanted to know if anyone knows anything about this "smart wifi" and if there is a work around so i don't need to have a 10m cable lying around.

Thanks in advance!

Just now, Electronics Wizardy said:

and what router are you using?

Is the wifi all on the same subnet?

The router is Icotera i4850

They are all hooked up to the same fiber box.
