wondering if its worth an upgrade

Ive got an hp pavilion a6000n desktop from 2007 just wondering whether or not it would be worth it to upgrade the mobo and processor along with the power supply and the cheapest ram I can find to make it not as obselete as it is now. Ive looked around and its a mATX board So I was looking at a cheap am3+ with either a fx-4300 or the 6300 this upgrade would cost around 300-350$ im just wondering if it wouod be worth it any help would be nice

you will need to verify that it's not a proprietary fit and that the panel headers aren't proprietary either, otherwise you would need to buy a conversion kit. 

 

you're probably going to want a new GPU too, at this point you may as well just save the hard drive and CD drive and just put a new build together, seeing as you're not that far off.
