Hi

I was taking a look at the Mac Mini and Intel Nucs thinking that I would want to install it on my TV to watch Basically (Football or Soccer depends on where u live).

I Have a 1080p TV so specs wouldn't need to be high my budget is around 500$ (Since that how much a TV Reciever costs here)

Although I prefer something small but I am open to any ideas

Any recommendations?

Some random android tv box would be a lot easier plug and play experience.

I used to do Amazon reviews in exchange for free shit, and I got a lot of those Android TV boxes in. Most of them were utter shit, and the ones that weren't were slightly less utter shit. GPUs that can't push 1080p playback, 1GB, even 512MB of RAM, power failures (probably due to overheating), just not a good situation when you can buy a Raspberry Pi, install Linux and be done with it.

I enjoy buying junk and sinking more money than it's worth into it to make it less junk.

I'm talking about decent units like the xiaomi mibox or similar stuff.

You don't need an entire PC to watch tv on, i'd recommend going with something like a chromecast or using those 500$ to buy a smart tv instead, unless there's a specific reason you need a dedicated machine for it

The Provider in my region only supports windows to stream Football games sadly that's why I need a Computer :(

What...?

Is it a windows based program?

  1. The mac mini is not a windows pc.
  2. Surely what you are using is a browser, right?
    1. Just use the browser on a Playstation or Xbox...
  3.  Just get a damn Amazon Fire or Roku for $20...

I mean, for 1080p, I'd just get a used Optiplex, HP Elite or Thinkcentre small form factor system, add a cheapo R5 240 GPU if needed then call it a day. You absolutely don't need to spend $500 for that.

Sadly it's a program as you can see attached (runs both on mac and PC)
