How to Clone OS Drive?

I'd like to clone my SATA SSD OS drive (a samsung 860 Evo) to an ADATA XPG SX8200 Pro NVMe SSD, and I was wondering how I can go about doing that?

 

Both are are 1 tb, and my OS drive data is backed up.

Double check everything, I am usually wrong.

I believe you have to use migration software to do it. If you are able to hook both drives up to a mac you can use disk utility and do it easily otherwise you'll need cloning software. I'm not sure what the best option on windows is.

Use drive cloning tools like Acronis for example (Crucial hands out a special version with their SSDs) 

 

 

Main System:

I've used Macrium Reflect successfully recently.

you can use the following advice, from windows pe on installation media

replace the imagex command with a xcopy command

you will need to find out destination and source drive letters

      xcopy c:\ f:\ /s /e /h /i /c /y

 

or use some freeware utility could be used instead above. 

ensure if running diskpart script drive 0 is actually the new drive. it will wipe out any data on that drive.

you may wish to run the create the diskpart layout script with the source drive disconnect to be safe.
