Okay to delete system reserved partition after MBR2GPT?

I have converted my HDD to GPT/UEFI and still have the system reserved partition. By what I understand it is no longer used and can be safely deleted. Since the system no longer boots from it there is no point having it take up space anymore?

I wouldnt risk my system not booting up for just 350mbs. That could be recovery partition that windows keeps some files in.

As stated above, it's probably not safe to delete and is absolutely not worth deleting since you only gain 350MBs (especially since you have 1.5TB of storage).

AFAIK there isn't even any point in converting it to GPT in the first place, unless you are going to do a fresh install so it actually USES EFI boot.

Dual-boot,

triple-boot,

quad-boot,

splitting a Windows drive to easily erasable OS without touching a hidden partition or multiple file partitions. 

short-stroking a drive. 

 

It makes sense since MBR has a four partition limit and Windows caps it instantly.

Thanks for the info, I have just removed it's drive letter and will be leaving it as is. While it was showing in file explorer it showed up with just a 0kb text file "recovery.txt" there must be more inside it. Would there be any way of looking inside just to see what's in there?

Apparently not, I completely missed the EFI partition in the pic. ?
