Hey guys, yet another time i'm gonna ask, "what do you guys think of this build?". My max budget has basically doubled to $2400 AUD (about $600 on periphs, my max PC budget is $1750), so here's the build i'm planning on. I want to know what you guys think I should change, replace or add. I'm gonna be using this for gaming 90% of the time, playing CS:GO, RB6 and maybe a few others. I want this to last me for a fair while, that's why 1TB is plenty of storage for me (I basically play CS 24/7). In saying this, I still want a bit of an upgrade path.

Here's my build, let me know what you think and thanks in advance!

Please note:

- I probably won't dabble in the arts of OCing, as I wanna get maximum use from this build (I might even lower the voltage just to last that little bit longer)

- I'm buying this at the end of this year, so of course i'm going to wait till custom models of the RX 5700XT come out so my PC doesn't burn up.

- Just pretend the Meshify C is $149, although i'm not set on that case. If you think there is another case that fits my kinda white-and-black themed build, please recommend me it!

- I'm going for a white-and-black themed build, although i'm not willing to really drop extra money to fit that theme, it's just a bonus.

- If you see somewhere I could easily save unnecessary spent money, by all means remove/replace it.

- I'm aiming for 144+ FPS for my 144 Hz monitor, that's why i'm getting this GPU for only CS:GO and RB6

- Finally, yes I do have peripherals in a separate list, and they are all sorted.

How much more expensive is the r5 3600 (non x) ?

If you are doing gaming that would be a much better cpu.

Also MSI Tomahawk b450.

Also in a budget build these fans are unnecessary, you could get like "Bequiet Pure wings 2" fans for 2x less the cost, or "Arctic F12 PWM" fans for 4x less, and they are still plenty quiet. Spending the fan money on a better cpu/mobo would be a wise choice in your budget.

I only see your reply if you @ me.

-If you can get Ryzen 3000 into your budget then put it in, if not the 2600X is a very capable processor, especially since now it's dirt cheap

-If you want to get Navi, wait like 1-2 weeks for the AIB models to come. The stock cooler is very loud, and keeps the card very hot(at around 85-90C, this means the card will lose some clock speed).

Also, with WiFi 6 arriving soon, at least get an Wireless AC card instead of the B/G/N one.

I would recommend

-a better Mobo such as MSI B450 TOMAHAWK ditch the fans

-Ditch the fans as they are pretty pricy and spend that money for a better CPU such as 3600

Since your buying at the end of the year I would continue researching as you dont know what sort of deals you might find later on

That Mobo supports bios flashback (upgrading bios without a cpu). So update the bios and you are set.

I'll link some videos that will be helpful to you.

Better Mobo?? In what ways?

Have you checked out the forums? There's a motherboard tier list available. Take a look at it. I'll link it down for your convenience.

Meant the Better board for a better cpu in the future as in we don't know if B450 would be enough for future gens the example might have been wrong but took it from a post above
