Is DDR3 (&4) more reliable than DDR2?

I was thinking and I don't think I ever had a DDR3 DIMM failing on a computer. Maybe perhaps a laptop one, while I had a crap load of DDR2 gone a-wire, even stuff I bought more recently as a replacement.

Is that so, like does DDR3 or 4 have better redundancy or so or did I just happen to have bad luck with it?

I have had them all fail at some point, or be bad right out of the box. Even going back to the 90's. Its kind of the nature of the beast with electronics. Most companies are really good about replacing stuff anymore though.
