Hello, i would like to ask if the Sama Armor 550w Gold is enough to cover non oc-ed rx 5700 xfx? It's will be paired with 3.9ghz ryzen 1600xone ssdone hdd, three fans and cooler master 212x hyper. I don't plan to oc it so yeah. Fans are stock from 410 phantom. Ask if the details are not enough, the motherboard is b350-F Gaming.

Thanks for your time

cpu 80-100w

motherboard incl. ram : 25-40w

ssd : ~5w

fans : 2-3 w each

cooler : 2-3w

5700 : up to 200w

So you want a psu that can do a minimum of around 350w... to be very conservative, let's say 400w on 12v rails.

According to Google, the Sama Armor Gold can do 44A on 12v, or 528 watts, so your psu should be perfectly fine.

Oh oke I thought it did but still you can better spend a bit more money on a better cooler like a scythe mugen 5 or a be quiet pure rock

It's already old 5-6 months now, and i don't really wanna buy new cooler for no reason, i mean you just change graphics and cpu on a pc from time to time

Never heard of Sama Armor, so I can't comment on the quality of the unit, but it should be enough.

5700 will use around 180W, 1600X around 100W. I'd guess around 350W total for the build under full load.

Specs: CPU - Intel i7 8700K @ 5GHz | GPU - Gigabyte GTX 970 G1 Gaming | Motherboard - ASUS Strix Z370-G WIFI AC | RAM - XPG Gammix DDR4-3000MHz 32GB (2x16GB) | Main Drive - Samsung 850 Evo 500GB M.2 | Other Drives - 7TB/3 Drives | CPU Cooler - Corsair H100i Pro | Case - Fractal Design Define C Mini TG | Power Supply - EVGA G3 850W

Most consumer PC will not even reach 300W even a i5 8600k and 1070Ti is not reaching 300W it's oc'd also.

My i7 8700K and GTX 970 easily consume over 300W under load. This is pretty common, especially on mid-high end builds.

Under load, the RX 5700 uses approx 180W (https://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/amd-radeon-rx_5700-rx_5700_xt,6216-4.html), and the 1600X uses 60-90W depending on the load. (https://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/amd-ryzen-5-1600x-cpu-review,5014-9.html)

Add a little for the SSD (1-3W), HDD (5-10W), fans (~2W each), chipset, peripherals, etc... and you end up with around 300W, if not a little more.

Keep in mind those are load power consumptions, not idle.

Maybe not 300 but 350W maybe more or less not 400W is for sure.
