Any bottlenecking with the i5 7500?

Lots but that's normal. It's an i5 quad-core.

Hi guys I just finished my summer job and have like 500 dollars, and was going to use it to upgrade my computer. I am looking at replacing the gt 730 with either a rx 5700 xt or rtx 2060. Will there be a bottle neck?

PS:I am going to get the open air cooler design for the rx 5700 xt sometime August.

Specs:

16gb ddr4

i5-7500 at 3.4GHZ

gt 730 2gb

What Power Supply do you have? If the system was pre-built, a new Power Supply is also mandatory.

I think so. It will be a great jump from 730.

If you plan to buy Ryzen, don't worry about it, just use what you have.

It's not a question of wattage - it's of quality - what exact model? GQ, BQ, NEX?, G3?

It's fine - a 5700 XT custom card is ideal.

I've built a few budget systems with that i5 6500/7500 chip, and its a decent part - I wouldn't go upgrading it to a 9900K tomorrow if I still had it.

I wouldn't really thing twice about tossing in a 1070 or 2060 Super into that build, then upgrading to a newer i5/i7 later when you've got more coin to toss at it. It'll be a very solid PC IMO. The 2060 dropped to 290 this week so it leaves you room to buy a good PSU or good SSD if you need it.

I'm not touching AMD until the 3rd party cards come out, those blower coolers are running very hot right now.
