New PC Build

theereal

Building a new pc and was looking for any help or ideas for either improvements or perhaps some parts that may be incompatible.

Parts:

GPU: MSI Geforce RTX 2070 Gaming

CPU: Intel Core i5 9400

Ram: Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro DDR4 16GB

Cooler: NZXT Kraken 62 CPU Cooler

Motherboard: Gigabyte LGA1151 Z390 UD

PSU: Seasonic Focus+ 1000W 80+ Gold

Storage: Samsung EVO 860 1TB SSD

Case: Corsair Obsidian 750D Big Tower

Is everything here compatible? Are there any ways to make budget cuts without loosing too much performance? Any help is appriciated :)

Its for my buddy and hes mostly going to use it for gaming (and the occasional hentai video) Fornite, League and CSGO are his mains.

It's all compatible, but half the parts are a terrible decision...

What will you be doing with the computer? What budget? What location?

Off a quick glance:

-CPU seems underpowered compared to the selected GPU, if on a budget AMD is a great option

-1000W is super overkill, go for like 550W

-you'd save some money and get more functionality by getting say a 500GB SSD paired with a 1/2TB HDD or even a 256GB SSD if hes really only playing those main games and a few others.

-imo you can get nicer looking cases for the same price or less (like tempered glass everywhere), the case is pricey but there is definitely value in getting a nice case

Gaming - Ryzen 5800X3D | 64GB 3200mhz  MSI 6900 XT Mini-ITX SFF Build

Home Server (Unraid OS) - Ryzen 2700x | 48GB 3200mhz |  EVGA 1060 6GB | 6TB SSD Cache [3x2TB] 66TB HDD [11x6TB]

I don't know the availability or pricing of these parts in Norway but I do know for a budget of $1700 USD you can get a much better system then what you have put together.

I do know that Newegg ships internationally to Norway so all of these parts should be able to be shipped to where you live but keep in mind there will quite possibly be shipping costs as well.

Most things are more expensive in Norway, i said that buying them from overseas might be cheaper but he wanted to be safe and buy them here. I see most people here recommending AMD, is Ryzen that much better when it comes to price for performance?

Yes Ryzen 3rd gen is where it's at right now for price to performance. AMD is killing it, if you're going for any sort of build right now AMD is the go to.
