Can't find the correct drivers and auto detect does not work

Hip

Hey guys

I am currently setting up an older Laptop I have but somehow I can not find any drivers for the GPU and CPU.

CPU:

Intel i5 2410m

(I can only find the testing tool for this CPU)

GPU:

AMD Radeon HD 7400m

(Auto detect software doesn't work "DLL Error")

Somehow I have also Intel HD 3000 in the hardware list.

Would be great if someone could help me out here.

Your CPU doesn't have drivers like a GPU, you can find the latest AMD drivers for your GPU here under legacy drivers https://www.amd.com/en/support. It is considered end of life and not supported though as it is very old so there is no guarantee its gonna work on something like windows 10.

You see HD3000 because your CPU also has an iGPU built into the processor

Gaming - Ryzen 5800X3D | 64GB 3200mhz  MSI 6900 XT Mini-ITX SFF Build

Home Server (Unraid OS) - Ryzen 2700x | 48GB 3200mhz |  EVGA 1060 6GB | 6TB SSD Cache [3x2TB] 66TB HDD [11x6TB]

But I also need a CPU driver.

Which Driver should I pick under legacy? The 7000 series? Because they offer 7200 and 7500 also but no 7400.

odd, the 7400m seems to be like a ghost on the internet, can't even find specs on it. I found this

"The Radeon 7200 includes 64MB SDR RAM running at 166MHz and the core runs at 166MHz. The Radeon 7500 includes DVI out, 64 MB DDR RAM running at 230MHz (460MHz effective), and a core running at 290MHz. The Radeon 7500 should be twice as fast as the 7200."

odds are you have either the "slow" one or the "fast one". If you have the faster gpu, go for the drivers for the 7500. If you have the slower one, go for the drivers for the 7200. maybe a program like GPU-Z can tell you the specs you need to know. Chances are the 7400m is just a 7200 or 7500 with a different clockrate. Probably not unique silicon so if you figured that out and the drivers install it would likely work.

As far as a CPU goes, no, it has no drivers. You don't update its drivers like a GPU. If anything, you would update your motherboards chipset drivers, or your operating system. You might be able to find integrated graphics drivers for your CPU, but you have the 7400m which would override the integrated graphics.

Try last Leshcat driver. https://leshcatlabs.net

If can't try use older one like 15.7 or 15.11.

I get this result with GPU Z.

I suggest nuke both of your current Intel and AMD driver with DDU in Safe Mode and then install Leshcat driver start with 16.2.1
