Which CPU?

So i'm gonna be upgrading my PC later this month, I have an RTX 2060 and I'll get 3200mhz DDR4, but i'm not sure which CPU i should pick, the ones i've been looking at are: i7 8700, i7 9700, Ryzen 5 3600 and Ryzen 7 3700x
I mostly play games on my PC but i edit videos on a weekly basis and some photoshop now and then.

R5 3600, best bang for the buck in that selection. Pair it with a solid B450 board and it should be bueno.

it depends on the tool you use the most to edit videos, some tools like more intel

other tools go well with amd

do you have a budget or a list of parts apart from motherboard and cpu?

I think most of those tools liked Intel more because they depended on higher clockspeeds and IPC (thus single core performance). The Ryzen 3000 series matches most Intel chips for single core IIRC.

The 3600 if you want beat value. It pertains similarly to a 8700K for less money. If you want beat performance, the 3700X is the choice.

Unless you are using qsync there is no reason to go Intel tbh.

is qsync the technology to encode fast videos on adobe?
