I just got a vega 56 for a song, looking to put something together around it, need a reliable power supply. Would prefer tier A, I can reasonably spend up to 100 bucks but I would like to get the damn thing on amazon (US) if feasible.

The system around it would be:

Core i7-3770

16gb (2x8) ddr3 1600

Biostar H61MLV2

180GB Intel 500 series SSD

1tb toshiba 7200rpm hdd

4 artic cooling 120mm fans

Appreciate any suggestions, thanks.

It,s outdated double forward.. and high wattage gpu like the vega 56 will probably make it somewhat noisy, bc sleeve bearing fan and transformer buzz. And at $79 it is very overpriced, There is the much better quality cx550 instead for cheaper.

My GF is running a CX500 with a Vega 56 NP. Well I forgot to mention I recommend the gray label (newer) version. The green one is BS, that's right!

But yes the fans cloud be better. Therefore maybe a RM, wich blows the Whisper and can be had for under 100

No I wasn't talking about cxm green label, black label cxm is also something I or the psu tier list makers would not advise... double forward primary topology aint good. And the whisper beats RM in quality, where did you get RM>whisper from??

The new RM is actually nowhere close the old RMx, do note that... The new RM is behind the TXM on the great scheme of things.

ok, well I had a RMX an it was awesome. So whats the difference between RM and RMx?

Because RMi, RMx 550/650W, SF, HX 2017, HXi, RM (2019) 550/650 all are A+ rated here?

Also to OP @i_is_colours. Seems like bitfenix formula gold 550, on newegg for $70, isthe best price/performance psu currently for a vega 56.

The only one I see on amazon currently is out of stock until the end of august unfortunately.

This what I'm looking for otherwise?
