Recommendations for simple fan hubs not fan controllers

jamsincali

Looking for recommendations for simple 4-port fan hubs. I would rather use as little amount of splitters as possible. I know the one that came with my case is an acutal controller and I don't want to use it, I would way rather use the Mobos software so I can fine tune my air. I should also note that all my case fans will have same specs (rpm, size, etc)

Here is my idea

CPU FAN - CPU_FAN1

CPU FAN2 - CPU_FAN2

Exhaust Fan - 4 port max PWM hub - CHA_FAN_1

2 Intake Fans - 4 port max PWM hub - CHA_FAN_2

I want to wire it up like this to have the ability to expand easily and as I said there are tons out there and I don't want to use one with a controller.

Any suggestions ?

J

What motherboard and fans are you using?

Where are you shopping / located? Budget?

@WoodenMarker

Using a Asus Sage X299

NewEgg, Amazon, Newegg is literally a 30 minute drive away so it is nice for ordereing parts

Budget: What is that? lol

I could note all the fans I will be using are chromax editiions by noctua

3 NF-A14'S PWM For case , 2 NF-A15 HS'S PWM's for cooler

So ya just looking for well-build fan hubs and not controllers.

The whole purpose of adding two hubs is for future expandability.  Adding one hub for the exhaust fans that could go from 1 to 2 or even 3 and a hub for the front intakes that could go from 2 to three.  I just want them on separate hubs so I can uses the Mobo's fan control to fine tune the pressure

What case and cooler are you using? If you got the NH-D15, it should already come with a splitter.

I'm presuming you're using 2x front intakes and 1x rear exhaust for the case. If that's what you're doing, it'd make sense to run the cpu fans off of the cpu_fan1 header, the rear exhaust off the cpu_opt header, and the front two intakes off of the cha_fan headers.

You got it. I am just curious which fan hubs would you suggest because I will potentially want to run more in the future. I am using a fractal define r6 case but don't want to use their supplied fan hub cause its a controller and not just a hub.

is Deepcool a good name?

The normal Noctua fans don't require much power so normal splitters / hubs without external power work just fine.
