What happens if I use a 1080 and a 1060?

oLoGy

Hi, I have a 1080 GPU that I use in my PC, and an old 1060 that I don't use anymore, that I am going to sell in a few months but I can't right now. I thought it would look cool to put both the graphics cards into my PC.

I was wondering what would happen if I put the 1060 card into a lower slot and didn't connect it to the PSU while still using the 1080.

Probably just errors, worst case.

U could connect it and use it as physx Card its pretty useless but having a dead card in the system for looks is too and if u connect it it atleast does give less errors haha

Either an error code, maybe a bsod.

as long as the power draw stays under the max a pcie slot can supply it will probably be fine.

You wont hurt your PC, just pop it in and find out first hand.

I hope there is an option to use that 1060 card as the render device for streaming, then your 1080 will be your main driver.
