Overclocking a HD 7870

So, I have been trying to overclock my GPU, since it bottlenecks nearly all my games. It is a Sapphire HD 7870 GHz Edition and I'm using Sapphire Trixx instead of MSI Afterburner because it is the only software that allows me to change the voltage. if I overclock it a measly 5MHz I get artifacting on my main monitor (but not my second monitor) even if use the max voltage and power limit. If I ignore the artifacting I can get it up to 1150 MHz on the core. The reason why I'm curious is because I've seen people online getting way better overclocks and no artifacting, and I'm wondering if I'm doing something wrong.

 

Specs:

CPU: Intel Core i7‑2600K
RAM: HyperX 16GB DDR3 1600
GPU: Sapphire HD 7870 GHz Edition

 

ASIC score: 74.0%

my sapphire 7850 is also a particularly shit overclocker, my MSI one overclocked to 1340mhz while sapphire only does 1125mhz. I guess its how much the board design can handle.

Don't know if this will fix the problem but is there any way to turn off Load-Line Calibration on a GPU?
