i5-4670K vs I7-4770k

Simple answer: Get the i5, since the i7 doesn't give an edge in gaming.

But outside gaming i7 performs better.

 

If you want an overall better CPU it is the i7, but if you are just thinking about gaming then get the i5, because they will perform the same in gaming.

Which is better for hardcore gaming with multi-monitors and why. I keep hearing that the I5 is better but no one i talk to truly justify there reasoning. Please say why which one is better for hardcore gaming with multi-monitors.

4670k, just because it is cheaper, and 4770k is not worth the extra 100$

4670k does just as good and can even do better, for gaming that is.

The Core i7 is more powerful but only when being used with programs that make use of the hyperthreading, the Core i5 in games performs the same as near as makes no difference to the Core i7 so it makes the extra expense a waste of time.

 

The multi-monitor support has nothing to do with the CPU (unless you are using the i-GPU), that will depend on your video card/s.

For pure gaming the i7 is just unnecessary so just get the i5.

Your problem with getting an answer may be pretty simple - they are the same for gaming. 4770k is just more expensive and you pay for features not used in gaming.

It cant be worse though because if disable hyperthreading it is a i5

An i7 will be at its best 15% faster than an i5 in gaming. So far BF4 thats it. Useless cpu.
