I recently bought an Intel i3-9100F, and i've seen a bunch of videos of it performing great in games, but I get stuttering on intensive parts in games. My frametime ism't stable too. Could this be because i only have 2 sticks of ram? I have corsair vengeance 2x8gb 2400 mhz. My gpu is gtx 1050 ti. For example i've seen videos of AC Oddyssey running great on this cpu, but i get stuttering even though my fps is usually ~50. Mobo is h310m pro-vd.

What settings are you using for this game? Have you looked at your CPU and GPU usage during game play?

As Ubisoft  'recommends' at least a GTX 970, (which is roughly equivalent to a GTX 1060) your gpu very well could be the cause of the stuttering.

Im now looking at a video of a guy playing AC Oddyssey at high graphics with gtx 1050 ti, 0 stuttering. I dont think that my gpu is the problem.

I don't believe it should be maxed out with that GPU. Do you have any background processes running? Are all cores being utilized? Are there any UEFI updates available?

I'm really not sure, to be honest. Your quad core CPU should not be bottlenecking a 1050ti. I built a computer for my brother in law with a  lower performance 4 core Ryzen 3 2200g that never seemed to bottleneck a RX 580 while playing AC.

i was thinking that maybe if i had 4 ram sticks, the frametime would become more stable and that would fix the stuttering.

I am not as familiar with Intel CPU's, but I don't believe dual channel or faster RAM has as much of an effect on performance as does Ryzen

What other games are you getting stuttering? Assassins Creed Odyssey is going to present stuttering on a lot of PC's in intensive parts of the game, that's just how the game is. That video you posted clearly shows a CPU bottleneck at the 1:30 mark of the video. It's because of Odyssey. Origins does it too.

Well the stuttering becomes most noticable in shooter titles, like black squad, battlefield 1. Overwatch runs like absolute garbage, massive stuttering. Even get it sometimes on big shootouts in movie battles 2 a mod for jedi academy and that game is like from 2002 or 2004.

What is the make and model of your monitor? And have you tried using DDU to completely remove all your drivers and then reinstall the most recent drivers from nvidia?

Give DDU a try. It can sometimes fix this issue and allow you to freshly install the latest drivers.

So i tried DDU and made quite the revelation, 2 year old nvidia drivers work better than these new ones. Who would've thought? So yeh, i think the stuttering isnt as bad as it was before or maybe it's even gone.
