besides the obvious cosmetic differences...

Can you post the two you're looking at?  The compare page doesn't load anything when I click it.

Hi, Im comparing the Royal and Ripjaws DDR4-3600mhz 32gb. GSkills website is very slow for some reason.

Probably the same chips are used, maybe the binning is different if you pay the extra premium price for the Royal but i really doubt thats the case. Other than visually difference i don't think they will do the same work at a different price.

Edit: better save some money and get 3600mhz with better timings then CL19

Main System: Ryzen 2700, Asus Crosshair VII Hero, EVGA GTX 1080ti SC, 970 EVO Plus NVMe, Crucial Ballistix 3200mhz CL14, CM H500, CM ML240L cpu cooler.

Second System: Ryzen 2400G, Gigabyte B450 DS3H, RX 580 Nitro+, Kingston A400 SSD, Team T-Force 3200mhz CL15

If it ain't overclocked it ain't good...

CL19 is pretty good at 3600MHz, it's pretty close in latency to CL16 at 3200

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 11 and Fedora Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

How many watts do I need?

Not saying CL19 is bad at 3600mhz, just saying you can buy the Trident Z RGB  CL17 3600mhz for a cheaper price as the Royal CL18 3600mhz, may be not the case where you guys live but thats the case in Canada

Which 3600mhz has better timings then the ripjaws without being double the price?

3600MHz CL19 is very good, don't waste your money on the fancy one, the difference between them in gaming is like 1 or 2%

You are better off with just the regular 3200mhz CL16 kits then 3600mhz CL19, it's like the bottom of the drum in term of timings at that speed.

Some software of game like faster bandwidth and other like lower latency, but a good way to know if you RAM will be faster then another kit is this:

CAS x 1000 / Speed = lower is better
16 x 1000/3200 = 5.00
19 x1000/3600 = 5.27

Main System: Ryzen 2700, Asus Crosshair VII Hero, EVGA GTX 1080ti SC, 970 EVO Plus NVMe, Crucial Ballistix 3200mhz CL14, CM H500, CM ML240L cpu cooler.
