can i use 4 ram dims 2each different sizes??

so i have a 8th gen motherboard with 4 ram slots . and i wanna use 4 slots as it is benificial for gaming . but i have a 8gig dimm, and i want more then 16gig but not 32gig.   so can i use 2x 8gig dimm and 2x 4gig dimm total of 24gig. is it possible to use???

 

 

btw all of em will be corsair vengence Lpx 2400mhz

yap . the dimms i was planning to buy is corsairs vengence Lpx 2400mhz . corsair has em both 4 and 8 gig sizes so it is usable then??? 

thank god i'm saved. just hoping to not get any compability issues

I've been running an odd config for years (4+4+4+2) and it's fine. Haven't heard any bad things from my advice with this either, yet.

wow thanks dude ... i thought that it wouldnmt work. all i saw about odd config is that 4+2+2 like this and one blank
