H150i radiator damaged - RMA?

Hi!

 

A new H150i arrived yesterday because the previous one I got was faulty. The replacement unit they sent me has a small damage on the radiator fins (screenshot) - looks like the metal is bent and turned white/gray. It is really tiny and difficult to see through the fins, so I'm not sure whether the water pipes are damaged or not. So far there hasn't been any noticeable leakage though. 

 

Is it necessary to RMA a second time or do you think it is safe to use?

I think it's safe to use. Those fins are very easy to damage so it probably just brushed up against something during shipping/packaging. It doesn't look like extensive damage by any means.

If its not leaking, the heat pipes are fine.  That will very marginally affect the air flow through the radiator fins.  If it was me and I bought this item new, I would return it but that's because I have other things I Can use as coolers in the meantime...if it was the only one I had and I wanted to get setup and gaming right away, no biggy.

Fin damage can be done by hand or even from a bit of cardboard landing on its edge, they are super delicate.

 

Grab a pin and bend them back, its most certainly not RMA worthy.

It's perfectly safe to use, as said those fins are pretty delicate, you can straighten them out and touch up the edge with a little black sharpie if it's noticeable.

The tubing is not damaged. Those find are easy to bend.

Isnt damaged. They wouldn't rma it for that and if they did the next one could look the same.
