Guys, needing some extra help here.

Took the day off to clean up my pc and install a new CPU cooler on my Ryzen 5 3600x, I've been using the box one since I bought it and it wasn't performing as it should, so I got the cheapest one from Amazon (Cooler Master HyperT20) and tried installed it today.

Had some trouble cause this one uses that hook system and I had to apply a lot of pressure, getting to the point of bending the heatsink, when I finished assembling the computer, it wouldn't turn on while troubleshooting what might have happened I thought about the CPU and tried to remove it and turn it on without it, and it works, but when I put the CPU back on, even without the cooler, and press the power button nothing happens.

I'm welcome to suggestions of what to do or try next, even though I'm almost sure it's a goner, also attaching pictures of how the heatsink turned out.

Sorry for any typos or inconsistencies

Your CPU is in the socket sideways....

I'm not actually trying to be as grumpy as it seems.

I will find your mentions of Ikea or Gnome and I will /s post.

Nah bro, i aint THAT dumb hahaha, if you're looking for the golden arrow it sits under it, and on the other side.

Still, it wouldn't even fit if it was sideways...

That CPU is not all the way in the socket. It's sitting on the edges of the socket. It almost looks like it was put in the socket with the retaining mechanism latched down.

Just to update it, to be sure I tried putting the CPU on top of the socket, without locking it, and then turning it on, it's just when I try locking it that the PC turns off, not sure if it's really the CPU ou could be the motherboard socket, sending video below.

I mean, that picture is from some hours ago, right after setting the cooler, but im positive that the cpu was right, either way, thats does not seem to be the problem now, i'm sending a link (too big to upload here) to a video i took right now, showing that the cpu is rightly seated and that it only turns on when the latch is up.

Anyway, thanks for the help bro, just wish i had another cpu to test if it really is it or the mobo.

Pull the CPU out and check for bent pins. If it doesn't have bent pins you probably broke the socket applying to much pressure when mounting the cooler. The cooler should not have taken enough pressure to bend it like that to install it.
