My short experience with Geforce Now

After downloading the free beta and playing a few games for like an hour total, I can firmly tell you that I don't want to continue using it. Unless they make major changes. First, I have above or equal to the recommended specs to run it. I expected that it would trump my 1080ti for a little while, maybe let me play some games at ultra or something. But upon playing every game, I noticed a few things. Even if the game is running at 200 fps, you only actually play it at 60, which is shocking to my brain, eyes, and hands since I'm on my 144hz monitor. Second, even at 1080p, the game looks barely 720p quality. The bitrate is SO low. Maybe I'm doing something wrong, but so far my actual pc feels lightyears better than their 10,000 dollar server, which isn't what I expected from the hype. It seems like every game gets scaled really really weirdly. Even Minecraft was uncomfortable. Tell me what you think about it, or if I should try different settings or something to make it look better. I have it set to custom, everything as high as possible. Maybe I'm trying to push too fast bitrate, but I don't care to mess with it unless someone says I should.

Not sure why you are using it if you have a 1080ti and a decent system , there is absolutely 0 reason that i could see that being at all beneficial. From what i could tell it was designed for people on lower end computers or devices that wanted to game at a better frame rate. You have one of the best GPUS on the market, not sure why you were expecting it to beat that...

Ultra Gaming IMO is pointless and awful, it just tanks performance too much

I signed up because there was no reason not too. I can understand the appeal if you did have a mac or a laptop, and that would be why it's limited to 60 fps, I suppose. But what's more surprising is the quality the games were in. Besides fps or framerate, the quality was awful.
