In terms of performance, it's neck and neck.

In terms of future upgradability AMD wins, as you can upgrade to 16 cores without replacing motherboard.

for intel, no word about future cpu, and it is possible that it will change platform, so you're stuck with it.

What do you need feature wise on the board ? That’s the real question. If it’s nothing special then get a b450 board a 3700x and call it a day.
