The support section of the product page (I just went to the Gigabyte site, not the Aorus site):

What OS ?  WIth Windows 10 you do not need motherboard drivers, they get installed when you install the OS.  Even don't need realtek as well with latest 1903 install.  My old man just got a Aorus Z390 board and we haven't installed any motherboard drivers.  So ya no need my friend.  You install OS and your good to go all your stuff will work.  You even don't need to install graphics drivers as it installs those as well just as example.  Nor Ethernet drivers.  Now if your using Winblows 7 then yes you would need to install drivers, but if your Win10 then no need and have fun with build.

Trust, always drivers which don’t get automatically picked up. Always better be safe then sorry, right?

Using Windows update and Device manager to get drivers is ok, but most of the time it gives you drivers that are out of date by a couple months or longer, or sometimes can't find them, in my experience the most reliable way is to get motherboard drivers from the support page on the manufacturer website. And GPU drivers from of course either Geforce experience or AMD Adrenaline.

I can't disagree with you there.  But this sorta is a if it ain't broke don't fix it type thing.  If you install Win10 and your good to go, then your fine.  My old man is enjoying his 9900k and weve had no issues and he rendered a 46 minute video in 15 minutes.  He does everything on PC and mostly photo apps and ps and premiere...... Why does he need motherboard drivers ?  Ya catch my drift.  Now video drivers is different story.  Those you want to install yourself after windows install so you have the latest drivers.

Im shocked to hear this and I assume yall above use Win10.  So wtf should I install drivers for my old mans PC  ?  I mean he wont let me touch his PC so I mean wtf are newer drivers going to do or manu drivers ?  Maybe a applet in cpanel or something like this or its own little utility program.  I mean is it gonna make the net faster ?  No I don't believe it will.

Its like saying, let me change the lock on the door.  You already have a lock door but you want to replace it with another one that looks the same too.  As I said earlier with Windows 7 and 8.1 and Vista you need to install motherboard drivers for ethernet and realtek to work and all that jazz.  With Windows10 especially on a 1903 install using media creation tool and your ethernet works and so does your realtek audio.  Its all good, why fak with it.

It's honestly up to you. It shouldn't make a difference in performance (AFAIK).

I don't download drivers for my motherboard and my system runs fine. But do it anyways, better safe than sorry.

You literally said you don’t need to install graphics drivers - I assume that what you mean by video?

also, using your method you can get stuck with outdated drivers, plus some just don’t get picked up. I will always recommend getting the latest drivers from the manufacturer’s website on fresh installs

The only driver I ever worry about on a fresh install is Intel chipset driver and I go direct to Intel for it.

If you're interested in a product please download and read the manual first.

No lol, I said  you dont have to as a normal person.  but of course first thing you should do is install the latest video drivers as it will put older ones.  I just meant its not neccesary like the OS will still work and most probably all your games will work.  But ya its a must to install latest WHQL after fresh install.

That would work. Although I'd go 1 step higher and use https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/detect.html
