Need some suggestions for cheapish IEMs

Hi guys,

Because my incredibly cheap Sony IEMs are dying as we speak (rip), I'm looking into buying a bit higher quality IEM than those $10 things that break in the first month of heavy use.

Right now I own the Philips Uptown and the DT770 and since they're both pretty V shaped, I'm actually looking for something else. Don't know what exactly. I mainly listen to Radiohead and that kind of stuff.

Budget. Very Important. 50 euro's, at www.bol.com preferrably. I know I'm limiting myself with this site but I just won a 10 euro giftcard and I really want to use it.

(J33s are 60 euro's - worth going for?)

All suggestions are very much appreciated!

Yeah already looked at them, before. 5 euro's is tempting (with giftcard)... but honestly I'm afraid they'll die on me very fast, and I don't want that to happen.

I need some opinions. I've decided to up my budget a little to 70 MAX, and now the JBL J33 and the Philips Fidelio S1 are in budget (which got a very positive review from innerfidelity which I normally trust). Or should I buy a Vsonic GR02 from Ebay and use my giftcard for something else? Or any other suggestions for the *new* pricerange?

And seeing how @Lauen 's pair broke very quickly, how's the build quality on the J33's?

well I got a new pair of them, and so far they've been great. I'm blaming myself for trying the old J33's with my D2X soundcard, I fear the very high power might have goofed them. EDIT: just to clarify, I turned the volume to max when I tried it, as the actual sound coming from them was VERY low in volume, and crackled a lot. I was a fool.

I guess that's good to hear, thanks for the clarification :)

You dingus. :P

I liked the way the J33 sounded and was the one who conviced Lauen to try them out.
