My First Build PC Won't POST! (NO DISPLAY) HELP!!

This is my first time building a PC. Followed tutorials on YouTube and the manuals. When I turn it on, all the fans and lights were on and everything looks fine, except there is no display/no signal/no post.. nothing.

I'm pretty certain that I got all the cables connected correctly but I don't know why it's not posting. Could it be the motherboard? cpu? ram? I know this is a common issue and I've tried to look for the solutions on YouTube, but nothing seems to work.. I tried turning it on with the mobo outside the case, but still didn't work. At this point I'm completely clueless..

Note that I do not have a GPU and only have one stick of RAM. Wouldn't be a problem right?

These are the components I'm using:
CPU: Ryzen 5 2600
MOBO: Asrock B450M Steel Legend
RAM: HyperX Fury 1x8GB 3200mhz
PSU: Thermaltake litepower 550w
CASE: Tecware Nexus M

Please tell me what is wrong with it..

I know this is gonna sound dumb but have you tried a different cable and a different monitor. And have you changed the cable into different spots.

Please @Dormant God or quote me if you want me to see your message/reply

The Ryzen 5 2600 does not have integrated graphics. You need a GPU.

The HDMI and DisplayPort ports on the motherboard are only able to be used if you have an APU (CPU with integrated graphics) such as the Ryzen 5 2400G.

Specs: CPU - Intel i7 8700K @ 5GHz | GPU - Gigabyte GTX 970 G1 Gaming | Motherboard - ASUS Strix Z370-G WIFI AC | RAM - XPG Gammix DDR4-3000MHz 32GB (2x16GB) | Main Drive - Samsung 850 Evo 500GB M.2 | Other Drives - 7TB/3 Drives | CPU Cooler - Corsair H100i Pro | Case - Fractal Design Define C Mini TG | Power Supply - EVGA G3 850W

Scratch that do you even have a GPU? The Ryzen 5 2600 isn't an APU from my knowledge.

Yeah you need some kind of GPU for that specific Ryzen to POST. Can't get any output without one.

If you made a typo and have a 2400G instead of the 2600, we can start trouble shooting.

If you didn't, i'm afraid all the others before me are right, and you will need a GPU (or a different CPU with IGP) to get something on the screen.

Also is the RAM in the right slot?
