The only thing Task Manager is good for is running tasks.

And sometimes it's not even very good at that.

Aerocool DS are the best fans you've never tried.

Correction the only thing it’s good at is make your cpus loose preformance if your using it during a benchmark

Open the command prompt, and execute:

wmic cpu get name,CurrentClockSpeed,MaxClockSpeed

What is the CPU speed you get?

If you get the same thing, then the problem is with the motherboard, or truly going at 6GHz.

That is normal. Like FPS counter in games.

It costs performance to get information on things, let alone display it. There is no way around this beside using dedicated external hardware.

My friend already took the PC home with him, i dont have it any more, but CPUZ and HWINFO64 reported 3200 MHz boost clocks (that i trust).

These programs features a lot of built-in workaround for all sorts of hardware that don't follow standards.

As Windows never showed this in the past, it is safe to assume that many motherboard manufacture never bothered to test or even support this.

Newer systems should not have this problem.

But yes, I agree, perhaps Microsoft could see with the motherboard manufactures how to pull that information properly for boards that are not following the standard sets.

I would post the issue in the Feedback hub with the system specs, and maybe the team behind Task Manager or whomever is involved, can see how to get the info correctly an correct the issue in the future updates of Windows.

There was a meme in our local tech buy/sell fb group that the i5 2400 is super quick etc. ( just because they were so common). Reminds me of this lol.
