Hello,

I have a desktop that is wired into my home network and a laptop that uses wireless. I have a word document that I would like to be able to share between them; for example, if I take my laptop with the document on it and make changes, when I reconnect to my home network I want the ability to basically drag and drop it into a shared folder where I then can continue modifying it with my desktop. The document is currently on my desktop's local drive, but when I go to properties to share it the share button is greyed out. I thought it'd be easy to just share my entire drive publicly so I can access it with any PC on my network, but apparently it's not that simple.

So what am I doing wrong? Why can't I share my drive?

Thanks for any assistance!

Did you try sharing a folder instead or clicking on Advanced Sharing?
