Will an i7 8700k v1 or v2 fit on a z370 motherboard

I got a an i5 800 and want to upgrade to a i7 8700k but I see there is a v1 and v2 version which should I buy I currently have a msi gaming plus z370 motherboard

not seeing the support list specifically mention v1 or v2 , so just use v1

Would skip the 8700k.

 

Wait untill the 7th and get yourself an r5 3600 and a B450 Tomahawk.

 

Really no point getting any CPU eith Zen 2 being so close
