You need to either wire them yourself or buy an adapter that will start up both PSUs at the same time.

Will there be any issues with that?

Home-oriented hardware only has 1 power connector, so getting two to run is going to pose challenges. What's your hardware?

The more crude option is to use something like a paperclip to short the 24-pin's green wire to a black wire then to power on that PSU before the systems primary PSU.

A more refined option is there are adapters on the market that essentially daisychain the 24-pin of a 2nd PSU onto the first which would make the 2nd turn on with the first.

A 3rd option would be to make your own adapter to do what option two would do.

I intend on only using one for SATA/HDD and the other for PCIe, Motherboard 24 pin and CPU power.

Why?

Why?

I have quite intricate cable management and only one system to test a new PSU I bought to make sure it works. TBH I'm just lazy and looking for an easy way to do this where I just plug stuff in without unplugging and unrouting all my cables as I'm tight on time. Might just do that now as it seems it's a little trickery to use 2 PSU's than I first invisiged.

You can unplug the old cables but leave them routed where they are. Just unplug them and let them hang wherever they are and don't worry about doing any cable management on the PSU you're using to test with. If they're modular PSUs then make sure you don't mix the cables as they may not be compatible with each other, even if it's the same brand.

What model of PSUs are they?
What issues are you facing that lead you to testing the PSU?

No issues, just bought second hand and want to make sure it works. Current one in the system is a modular EVGA 650W G1 and the one I'm testing is a semi-modular Cooler Master V750.

I know not to mix the cables, I just have lot's of drives and couldn't be bothered digging in the case and unplugging them all. I was just going to unplug the PCIe, CPU and 24 pin and let them hang but guess I'll do the drives in it as well.
