Monitor won’t show BIOS screen but TV will

When I use advanced boot on Windows 10 to try to go into safe mode or bios, the screen doesn’t show after I click reset. I switched from my Viewsonic VX2758-C-mh Monitor to my Sony TV and tried again. It ended up working on the TV and I could see the bios, safe mode boot options, and all the troubleshooting advanced boot screen options. It also wouldn’t show the screen when I tried to update windows and it tells you the percent that it is at when installing after restarting, but once again it showed up on the Sony Bravia TV. The pc, fans, and RGB LEDS are still on but no picture. How can I get my monitor to show those screens rather than saying no signal and auto turning off after 10 minutes of sitting there?
