RTX 2070 for $450?

Newegg has the ASUS ROG Strix RTX 2070 on sale in the US for $450 after promo code and rebate.

 

Is it worth it to wait for Navi, or is it worth it to jump on it?

 

I know the RTX 2070 isn't a fan favorite, but I am not so sure how much cheaper it can get especially with a STRIX model.

For what it's worth, that's a good deal. Strix cards are some of the better models out there, and the Navi competitor (RX 5700 XT) is expected to hit the same price point for a blower card and unverified performance. Whether it's worth the wait or not is up to you, but I don't think it's going to be a decisive victory for the RX 5700 XT (that's just my opinion though.)

 

If you can though, wait for reviews on the RX 5700 XT. You have an RX 580 and I also don't think relatively cheap RTXes will be going anywhere with rumors of NVIDIA's Super cards.

Though I am overall happy with my RX 580, it is really showing its age for VR.

 

That is my primary driver for looking to upgrade and find a good deal. I am getting antsy for sure

V64 cam be had for 400$ otherwise it might be worth waiting for Navi

As soon as the RTX 2070 Super Edition release the vanilla variants will drop in price (even MSRP) they are just trying to get rid of stock while there is time, I would skip... the Strix is nothing that much mind blowing and the 2070 is nothing but an overpriced GTX 1080 at this point if you're not into DXR.
