Maxb89

For my first PC build (£500) should I get the Evga 500 B1 or the Corsair CXM 450w?

You should make a pcpartpicker list or two of the parts you'd like to use and then people can chip in with the list

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 10 and Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

How many watts do I needATX 3.0 & PCIe 5.0 spec, PSU misconceptions, protections explainedgroup reg is bad

In my opinion, none.

For a very similar price you can buy this:

https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/product/t8c48d/be-quiet-pure-power-11-400-w-80-gold-certified-atx-power-supply-bn292

Or this:

https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/product/gt22FT/be-quiet-pure-power-11-cm-400-w-80-gold-certified-semi-modular-atx-power-supply-bn296

And if you can drop $60 this is much better than the other two I just linked above:

The B1 is non-modular.  The CX-M is modular.

If modularity is not important to you, why not get the non-modular Corsair CX450?  Should cost less, no?  And it's a better PSU than either of those.
