I'm not sure which board I should be putting this on, so I apologize if my thread needs to be moved, but I need as many people to see this as possible.

I recently picked up a Galaxy Note 9 and have been using it for about a full day so far. Now, the phone is nice and all that but I CANNOT get past Samsung's stupid OneUI with Android 9.0, it just looks kind of ugly. I wanted some pointers on how I could possibly downgrade my OS to Android 8.1 so I can get my Samsung Experience back.

Downgrading Android requires rooting at the minimum, usually a custom ROM. (IIRC)

On a note 9, good luck. Only Snapdragon versions have any sort of support last I checked.

Brands I wholeheartedly reccomend (though do have flawed products): Apple, Razer, Corsair, Asus, Gigabyte, bequiet!, Noctua, Fractal, GSkill (RAM only)

Have you tried another launcher? That could fix things enough. Like I don't like Pixel launcher so I actually installed S Launcher for Lineage OS. Just because I'm used to it.

Skin it. Use a different launcher like Nova or Pixel and just run it over top of what you already have; your phone is powerful enough so you shouldn't notice much difference in day to day tasks. Downgrading runs lots of risks and might open up some doors security wise.
