Please Linus: New build for John Bartholomew the greatest chess streamer

Hi Linus Tech Tips guys,

 

I am a big fan of John Bartholomew, the most entertaining instructional chess streamer.

In his streams you can hear his computer fan noise from time to time, which is pretty annoying.

 

It would be awesome to see Linus build the ultimate chess gaming and streaming rig for John!

 

Only problem is, John claims his old pc has sentimental value . Would Linus and his team be able to overcome the sentiment?

Ok, seriously. I can understand threads made to get insanely expensive industrial grade backup solutions to random youtubers and streamers. But anyone who can stream daily has enough money on them to upgrade by themselves. This is just ridiculous. I don't stream daily, I have studies and occasionally job. Why shouldn't Linus do PC for me instead? I'm sure my 100 FB friends would be interested about it.

Chess has a lot of competition these days, almost every kid has a computer now, probably prefers to play video games. Next thing you know will have a generation who don’t even know poker.
