Flex 14 3500u touchscreen ripple

So I just picked this laptop up and it was all well and good but I noticed something when I went to pivot the laptop to show someone something. When I grabbed around the edge of the screen ( middle of the screen on one side and the  opposite corner of the chassis) I noticed a ripple effect on the screen.

Is this normal? It is reminiscent of if you pressed on the front of a slightly older lcd screen, but this of course is from the back and caused by a pretty small force from my fingers just holding the screen? I am particularly worried as it is a touch screen and if it is a problem I would not want to accelerate it, nor would I want to need to give up the touchscreen functionality. Is this something worth returning over?
