soo uh i just pressed a micro fiber cloth on the PCB of my GPU and I just realized that it might harm it. Is it ok to use micro fiber cloth on a PCB?

Absolutely nothing will happen, apart from the pcb being a little more dust free.


The components of a modern pc are actually really durable.


But just always turn off the pc (and unplug if you want to be extra secure) before cleaning just to be safe.

In general it's not recommended, but I doubt just touching it released any static buildup. Plus devices like GPU's have built-in systems so if there was any released static buildup, it would go to a safe space and not harm any important tech.

 

Of course I assumed the PC was off when doing this :P
