Posted June 1, 2019 Normally I don't, but when I bought a Samsung KS8500 tv a few years ago I got the Best Buy plan with it (not an extended warranty, but extra service) so just in case it broke I could just take it back to them instead of going through Samsung. I didn't expect to use it, but wanted it for peace of mind since I paid lots of money for it. After about a year and a half, about 3/4 of the leds at the bottom were shining through. It wasn't just backlight bleed, I could see the individual leds. A few months later, I started to see burn-in of the Windows taskbar at the bottom. I wound up calling Best Buy and exchanged it for a new Sony X900F; a tv that's a step up from the Samsung.
