My mistake, I compared it to the MP500, the 510 is definitely better in performance! Good choice.

Thanks for the suggestion, I've decided to go with the MP510 mostly because of the high performance yet cheap price compared to the SATA variants (which are almost the same price) and the 970 Evo Plus (which is almost double the price)

I'm near getting a full rig upgrade and I'm looking into getting a new SSD mostly NVMe for OS and programs while using my "old" SATA 2.5" SSD as a game library.
The question is, Should I be worried about getting an NVMe drive with DRAM? I'm not familiar with it tbh and if anybody could link me a good bang-for-buck SSD with DRAM as a 500GB-480GB OS drive it would be wonderful ❤️

Didn't Level1Techs recently review an ADATA that was very comparable to the Samsung 970 Evo?

What would you say about the MP510 vs the 970 Evo plus?

In my country the 970 is almost double the price.

What's your current motherboard? I don't believe a Z77 Asrock is compatible with NVMe drives...

I mentioned that I am getting a full rig upgrade ;)

What price is the Crucial MX500 (sata M.2) and the Crucial P1 (PCIe M.2)? They might be more budget friendly but are of good quality and come with a 5 year warranty.

 Here's a comparison, P1 vs MP500 https://ssd.userbenchmark.com/Compare/Crucial-P1-3D-NVMe-PCIe-M2-500GB-vs-Corsair-Force-MP500-NVMe-PCIe-M2-480GB/m614152vsm223982

The MX500 is the same price as the MP510.

The P1 is a lil bit more expensive (more like 10$ so idm) than the MP510 and MX500

Personally I'd go with the P1 since it's better than the MP500 and has a good quality/warranty.

I just compared the P1 to the MP510, the MP510 just blows it away....
