motherboard just won't read 4 DDR4 RAM

Go to solution Solved by Constantin,

You should RMA the new RAM

I had a Core i5 7600K on a Aorus Z270X Gaming K7 with 16GB of 2 X8GB corsair vengeance RGB PRO kit

GPU Radeon RX 580 8GB

Boot from and Samsung NVME 256 GB SDD

recently bought another kit of 2 x8GB same corsair vengeance ddr4 with same clock speed of 2666Mhz but i just couldn't get it to work.

it will not post.

after checking thoroughly i nothing i have a couple of bent pin on my cpu socket. i attempt to get it fixed but gave up,

I go out and bought another brand new mobo ASROCK X270 Extreme4 to my suprise it still won't post..

i attempted with 2 x 8GB it works perfectly fine...

Please help!

do all 4 sticks match?

even though ddr4 doesn't have to match you can still run into an unknown compatibility issue that nobody else has had yet simply from using this specific combination.

all are the are same corsair vengeance ddr 4 8GB ram 2666mhz

different is they are not 4 x8 kit but 2x8kit  2 unit. if that make sense...

if i take one of each set and plug them in it works as well...

hmm , maybe it just wants a bios reset because the ram amount changed , and or a newer bios version might help.

if each stick you have works alone in the machine that would be also good to know and test

let me know when you are pressing individual chips into a 35 year old machine and then you'll have something to complain about. lol

Does each stick alone work in the machine or not?
